2.11 - Canadian Qualifying Competitions - Groups to be Skated

(1) SINGLES:

Pre-Novice: Short Program Year
Men Group B 2015/2016
  Group A 2013/2014
  Group B 2014/2015
Women See Skate Canada Technical Handbook.  
Novice See Skate Canada Technical Handbook.  
Junior Short Program Year
  Group B 2015/2016
  Group C 2013/2014
  Group A 2014/2015

(2) PAIRS:

Pre-Novice: See Skate Canada Technical Handbook.

Novice/Junior: Short Program Year
  Group A 2015/2016
  Group B 2013/2014
  Group C 2014/2015
Senior: Short Program Year
  (as per ISU requirements)  
  Group A 2015/2016
  Group B 2013/2014
  Group C 2014/2015

Note: For invitational events, in any year, either the previous group or the new group may be used from January 1 to June 30. From July 1 to December 31, only the new group may be skated. Skaters must check the relevant competition announcement to see what group is expected.

(3) DANCE:

Juvenile:

Pattern Dances – Two of the four dances listed below shall be drawn for each qualifying event and skated in the order listed:
Year 1* (2013‐2014) ‐ Fiesta and European Waltz
Year 2 *(2014‐2015) – Willow Waltz and Ten‐Fox 
*Note: Dances will be selected from annually rotating groups.


Free Dance - Requirements shall be listed in the Technical Handbook

Pre-Novice:

Pattern Dances – Two of the four dances listed below shall be drawn for each qualifying event and skated in the order listed:

European Waltz, Keats Foxtrot, Harris Tango, Rocker Foxtrot

Free Dance – Requirements shall be listed in the Technical Handbook.

Novice:

Pattern Dances – Two of the four dances listed below shall be drawn for each qualifying event and skated in the order listed:

Year 1* (2013-2014) - Starlight Waltz,Cha Cha Congelado, Argentine Tango, Silver Samba
Year 2 *(2014-2015) – Paso Doble, Blues, Westminster Waltz, Quickstep
*Note: Dances will be selected from annually rotating groups.
