2203 - Communication with Skaters

  1. CARNIVALS, EXHIBITIONS OR COMPETITIONS: All communication with skaters regarding their appearances in carnivals, exhibitions or competitions must be made through the skaters home club or through the National Office of the Association.
  2. NATIONAL TEAM MEMBERS: For the purpose of eligible status protection and sanction of activities, those skaters placing in the first five of each senior event of Canadian Championships shall be under the direct control of the Skate Canada Board of Directors. Communication with these skaters shall be initiated through the National Office of the Association. Their home clubs will however be recognized in all other ways.
  3. DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH A SKATER: After arrangements have been completed for a skaters appearance in an event, the committee in charge of the event may communicate directly with the skater to obtain any details they may require.
