2101 - Definitions

The definitions of eligibility status of the individual are as defined in the by-laws of the Association and reprinted here:

  1. ELIGIBLE PERSON STATUS: An eligible person is someone who honors the principles and policies of Skate Canada and the International Skating Union (ISU) as expressed in the By-laws, Official Rules and Regulations of Skate Canada and/or the ISU and is eligible to participate fully in the activities and events of Skate Canada and/or the ISU.
  2. INELIGIBLE PERSON STATUS: An ineligible person is a member or former member of Skate Canada who has violated the eligibility rules of Skate Canada and/or the ISU.
  3. REINSTATED PERSON STATUS: A reinstated person is a member of Skate Canada who was a restricted person but has been reinstated as an eligible person under the provision of Skate Canada and/or ISU eligibility rules.
  4. RESTRICTED PERSON STATUS: A restricted person is someone who for a period of time is not qualified to participate fully in the activities of Skate Canada due to a specific position of employment or fee for services as defined by Skate Canada and/or the ISU. A restricted person may reinstate to eligible person status within Skate Canada and/or the ISU.
