2017-2018 Synchronized Skating Updates

Synchronized Skating Update

The Program Development Committee has received feedback throughout the season requesting a change to the Adult II Program Length.

To align Synchronized Skating with all Skate Canada programming the Beginner I, Beginner II and Elementary categories will be piloted as assessed to standard (as per the STAR 1-5 events). Beginner I and II will be assessed to standard and Elementary will be assessed to standard and ranked.

The following motions were recently approved:

MOTION:         THAT the Adult II program length be a maximum of 3:10 as of July 1st, 2017.

MOTION:          THAT a national pilot of assessed to standard be conducted for Beginner I, Beginner II and Elementary categories for the 2017-2018 season.

Please note: these changes will come into effect for the 2017 – 2018 season.
